It's a belter, we love it and hope you do too. It's dark, hooky and powerful. It mixes electronic and rock themes. The drums are relentless throughout ...it's one of our favourites.
As we are entirely self-funded your support is massively important to us.
You have a wide selection of formats to choose from: 320k mp3, FLAC and many more.
Burn The Money is a song about the struggle between money and freedom: the conflict between the need to earn money in order to have freedom of choice (eat, drink, learn, live) and the limitations that money earning puts on one’s freedom.
It is about the self-perpetuating system of work and material wealth, and asks what it's worth in the end.
lyrics
Work hard all day
Something in my veins
It don’t stop
Work hard to pay
For my addiction
Don’t stop if you stop we all stop dead.
Word hard all week
'Cause I’m scared of my own brain
And what it gives and what it takes away
Work hard to feed
This strange infection
I’ve got what you’ve got we’ve all got it.
If I'm free
Why don't you take me
Why don't you take me down with you
You think you’re free
‘Cause you’ve got the money
You think you’ve got the money
But the money got you
So hard to fill
The emptiness in me
How can I still be hungry
So hard not to sell
But I just can't help myself
I used to be so healthy
It's a half life
Half day
Sick love
Sick pay
Earn me
Burn me -
If I'm free
Why don't you take me
Why don't you take me down with you
You think you’re free
‘Cause you’ve got the money
You think you’ve got the money
But the money got you
